Sunday Nourishment For The Soul

“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up”

With the knowledge that God is the Father of all people, we desire to love and bless others.

As we love and support one another in the Church, we become a power in the world for good. We express love for our fellowmen by serving them.

We need to appreciate and love people for themselves. When we love the Lord with all our hearts and our neighbors as ourselves, we are in harmony with all sacred law.

The love of Jesus Christ must be our guide if we are to become aware of the needs of those we can help in some way.

The result of humility and meekness is harmony in our hearts

Sunday Nourishment For The Soul

The Hope of God's Light

Many of us have wondered if God knows us or if He even exists. Todd was someone who made fun of people who thought God was real, and he wasn’t surprised when he didn’t get an immediate answer to a prayer.

But could God be giving us small but obvious answers? And how patient do we need to be to get those answers?

Sunday Nourishment For The Soul

This story is based on Acts Chapters 6 & 7

Stephen is taken before the Sanhedrin and falsely accused of blasphemy. His face shines like the face of an angel. He has a vision of the Father and the Son. He is martyred for his convictions as Saul.

Sunday Nourishment For The Soul

Thomas, one of the twelve, doubts the appearance of the risen Lord.
Christ appears, and tells him,
"Blessed are those who have not seen, and yet have believed."

24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Have a blessed Sabbath.

Sunday Nourishment For The Soul

Earthly Father, Heavenly Father

Men on earth have the opportunity
to become fathers
and experience
some of the same joys
that our Heavenly Father
feels for us.

Fatherhood is a divine

responsibility to be cherished.
