Hello Kitty Birthday Card and Matching Mini Journal

Hello Everyone,

I'm back with another cute Hello Kitty Card and a Mini Journal
that I made for my little cousin's 4th birthday.

This is a Portrait A2 size card

The Kitty was cut out at 3 1/2"

For the enamel dots I used the homemade ones that I made using Pony Beads,
which you can see how I mad them in one of my previous posts. I glued them down using the Large Glue Dots from Zots.

For the sentiment I used the Inkadinkado Celebration Expressions 60-30571

I also used Recollection Card Stock for the Hello Kitty Die cut and the layering of the card.
I used the Marvy Uchida Corner Rounder Punch to round out the corner, and the Scalloped Diamond Border Punch from EK Success for the green strip behind the kitty.

I got the idea for the journal from Nicole but the measurements are a bit different from hers.

The card stock used for this journal came from the
Dixie Diva Recollections Signature Especial Paper Pad
The journal measures 3 1/8"x4" closed
The green/white stripe from twine American Crafts measures 16"

I used a 5/8" Recollections Lever Circle Punch for the green accents circle.
I punch a hole in the middle of the circle and the front tab of the journal,
and secured it in place using a light blue Recollections brad

The card stock for this journal was cut at 4"x7 3/8" and scored it at 2 7/8" and 6"
For the inner matts I used Recollections Bold Basics Paper Pad, and they measures (front)2 5/8"x3 3/4", (Mid)2 3/4"x3 3/4", (Tab)1 1/8"x3 3/4"

I cut 12 pieces of copy paper that measures 3 1/2"x6". I folded stacked them all together and folded them in half, then while having them all stacked together I used my exacto knife to cut off 1/4" from the end so they can have a nice finish.

Then I stapled them all together using my stapler.

I made this box to put the mini journal inside. It measures 1"x 4 1/4"x4"
I used an Envelope Punch Board but in the future I recommend using a
scoring board instead; It's waist lest card stock.

I also used the Spellbinders Dies Standard Circles Large Set S4-114 (4th Die)
and Lacey Circles Set S4-293 (3rd Die)
I inked up the edges of the circle using an aqua green ink pad from Personal Sentiments

For the sentiment I used the Inkadinkado Celebration Expressions 60-30571

I used the Boxbuster website that TheCraftyOwlUK recommends in her youtube video.
